jpattison Posted February 17, 2009 Share #21 Posted February 17, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Film is better, just like analogue hi fi. Digital imaging is best suited to the computer monitor, where it is usually seen without reference to other media. 72 pixels per inch. Looks very sharp. Has no "feeling". Analogue is part of nature. Digital is therefore unnatural. I'll get my coat. John edit: Damn made it to page
Advertisement Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Hi jpattison, Take a look here Champagne vineyard in winter. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
digbyhp Posted February 18, 2009 Share #22 Posted February 18, 2009 Doc, have checked out the 're-posts', and honestly (although I have seen the replies) would have picked the first as from the M8, and the second from the M7. I would now be interested to see the M8 pic corrected to add saturation.

Yes i agree with you : digital picture must need post-processing. The only problem is : how can you replace the real color as you saw in reality with this post-process? It's also difficult for experimented persons according to me. That's why i compare color's "high fidelity" with "classical music's high fidelity" "Damn made it to page 2" John, long debate isn't ? i have never used both camera (M7 and M8) untill to day . Now i have this opportunity, so i can compare directly.

"I would now be interested to see the M8 pic corrected to add saturation" I will do it but i am afraid,as i just said to John, that it will be difficult for me, to have exactly the colors like in reality Best regards Henry
