Advertisement Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Hi fernando_b, Take a look here Five lands - Vernazza. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest maddin Posted October 18, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 18, 2006 Fernando, the sad atmosphere is there but probably much more in your memory. formally speaking, depicting a surfer is however leading an onlooker into a different direction. my cinque terre memories are not sad, yet melancholic. ciao
andybarton Posted October 18, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 18, 2006 Can you explain why this place is so sad? It looks like a charming place on Vernazza - Wikitravel Has something awful happened here, that is not spoken about beyond the people who know? fernando_b Posted October 18, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted October 18, 2006 Martin, Andy, Right! A colour photo of Vernazza in sunny day is full of joy. The posted image dates back when I was about twenty, a cloudy day, all was grey. That man on the surf remembers me, sad as I was in those days. Alone in the desert of my life in those days. The remembrance is like a pang in my heart. Fernando.

Guest maddin Posted October 18, 2006 Share #6 Posted October 18, 2006 Fernando, oh oh, that probably goes similar direction... yet i really like to go again, if it would be for the train ride from la spezia only. as far as i remember there were no cars down there but a very nice seafood place up and outside a bit. and as a traveler you were recomended to keep the hotel receipt in case police asks you. but that was early 80ties.
