charlesphoto99 Posted January 14, 2009 Share #21 Posted January 14, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Oh, and take it to a fed ex ship center and have them print out a receipt for you and watch them put a bar code sticker on the box. Most lost packages are due to user error, and usually because they become seperated from the shipping info. Common sense is the best insurance out there. gfspencer Posted January 16, 2009 Share #22 Posted January 16, 2009 I just checked and my lenses made it to New Jersey. I even know who signed for them. I used UPS. I insured them. I asked for a signed receipt. It was expensive but worth it for my peace of mind.
Shootist Posted January 16, 2009 Share #23 Posted January 16, 2009 I just checked and my lenses made it to New Jersey. I even know who signed for them. I used UPS. I insured them. I asked for a signed receipt. It was expensive but worth it for my peace of mind. I use UPS also. Sent my chrome M8 to NJ on Monday. Sent it Ground with insurance for $5000, cost 53.+. Picked up by my UPS guy Monday afternoon, about 2:00 PM. Got to Leica NJ Wednesday morning. That is the fastest ground you will get. UPS does not like having expensive items in there system to long.
