Fall Mangroves

Nice to see one of yours again, John.

I always thought the D1 was in many ways superior to the D2 in the kind of photos it produces. Correct me, but I think Dan Drabek uses the camera also; and his pictures always pique my interest.

Speaking of fall, I see the same fading green/yellow coloring that is much more prevalent than the reds/browns/oranges I can remember from previous seasons here in the Midwest. Not sure if that's a sign of a rainy late summer and September as we had here or something else.

Thanks.

Allan

Thank you everyone...yes the D1 inspite of the severe critism and punishment it receieved a few years ago on the old Leica Forum is still a good camera and still takes great images...if you know its limitations, what optimal conditions to use it in .

Dan nice to see you back..any Digiscoping lately?

Thanks again

Regards, Leicamann

Thank's John. I've been so busy recently that I only get to drop in from time to time. I still do some digiscoping, but the D1 is semi-retired now. I do carry it as a take-anywhere-camera though. It still has it's undeniable charms.
