This is my first image post since moving to Indonesia. Unfortunately, I have little time to post and I am facing restricted web access due to poor bandwith.

One of the three beaches near Calang, Indonesia at sunset. R8/DMR, 19mm f/2.8 Elmarit R, 100ISO.

Best regards,

Many thanks for your comments!

William, I've been through 2 earthquakes and a tremor already, all relatively small. So I really know what you mean :)

Mike - Life is approaching some semblance of normality in BA although it is a truly different world here, very different from the rest of Indonesia. Once in a while it is imperative to get out otherwise the place can really get to you...

Cheers,

John, Ray - Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

John - Good to hear from you, it's been a a while. I should say that I've always envied your unfettered access to those marvelous BC sunsets.

Ray - I haven't had the chance to see in in print yet. I am to participate in an exhibit here in Indonesia about the Tsunami reconstruction in November, I may get to see it in print at that moment if I have enough time leftover from working on the other images.

Cheers,

Wonderful shot Conrad! - makes me very nostalgic for the period we spent living on the point at Tanjung Aru in Kota Kinabalu (Sabah) in the late '70s and evenings in the early '90s spent at the yacht club at Muara in Brunei watching the sun go down over the South China Sea and moonrise over the offshore islands...

Dan, John, Tim and William - Thanks for kind words, they're much appreciated.

John - Sounds like a great period in your life.

William - I guess I'm really not too far, relatively speaking. :) With respect to high humidity, it was a real shocker at first, although Chris S. had warned me.

Cheers,
