delander † Posted December 2, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2008 I would not think so, aren't they both labelled Leica Summicron? I doubt Leica would agree to it. Jeff
earleygallery Posted December 2, 2008 Share #3 Posted December 2, 2008 I would really like to see a comparison between images taken with both cameras (same image, taken at the same time/ISO/settings etc) and posted straight from camera, i.e. no PP. Can you do that or have you done it? I really would like to see if there is any noticeable differences between them - the 'mystery' of the actual differences between Leica/Pana variants has been running since the D1, and I've yet to see such a comparison. Yes I have actually. I've done Part 1 indoors n Part 2 outdoors, Part 3 will be coming up soon. Head on over to my site.
earleygallery Posted December 2, 2008 Share #5 Posted December 2, 2008 Excellent thanks! First impressions on my work monitor...as expected the Pana looks a fraction more contrasty and sharper, due to the in camera processing default settings. In terms of colour, from here at least and on the basis of a VGA image, I see no difference.
