Advertisement Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Hi dkCambridgeshire, Take a look here DxO ranks DSLR sensors.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted November 24, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2008 It's interesting that, despite its detractors' comments, the M8 fares pretty well in the 'Low Light ISO' rating. It rates 12th out of 50 tested, the best of all cameras released in 2006, although that wasn't a strong year, and is only surpassed by those you'd expect: Nikon D3, D700 and D90, the Canon 1D range and the new Sony Alpha 900. The D3 and D700 outperform all others by a wide margin (although the 5D Mk 2 isn't yet rated). Pete.
dkCambridgeshire Posted November 24, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted November 24, 2008 Interesting that the Fuji S3 and S5 still have the best dynamic range. Cheers dunk
farnz Posted November 24, 2008 Share #4 Posted November 24, 2008 Yes I noticed that too, Dunk, but I've never used one so I couldn't compare. Pete.
