GCHA Posted November 20, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 20, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received and used a cable release accessory for my D Lux 4 today, made by Richard Franiec. It is well made, simple, and does a good job for using a cable release with this camera or the Panasonic version as well. I am very satisfied with the workmanship, simplicity, and quality of this unit. I hope Mr. Franiec continues to make products like this for the Leica compact cameras. One is pictured on the Leica Rumors Web Site, for those interested. Now how about a 52mm filter and hood or the D Lux 4, one that does not vignette, and matches the clean lines of the camera... And perhaps a round or rectangular metal lens hood. A rectangular hood would interfere less when using an optical viewfinder., but should not vignette at the widest zoom setting of 24mm equiv. I submitted my email as an "interested party", but didn't get a confirmation. Didn't necessarily expect one. I check their website every few days to check to see if it's available for order. Jeff.
