Advertisement Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Hi sisyphus, Take a look here Wildfire. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
psquared Posted November 16, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2008 Richard, I hope you're safe up there. We have the Sylmar fire down here. Even though I'm not close to the fire, we can certainly smell the smoke and see ashes settling on the cars. Peter
Marquinius Posted November 16, 2008 Share #3 Posted November 16, 2008 Richard, 1) as Peter states: hope you're safe! 2) wonderful action shot, telling the whole story. The dried tree on the left is ominous, as it points to possible burning. Marco

sisyphus Posted November 16, 2008 Author Share #5 Posted November 16, 2008 Thank you, all. Fortunately, the winds have been very calm since thursday so the fire has been contained. I think the fire crews and equipment will now be heading down to southern California to help with the fires there. The fire crews, both on the ground and in the air are to be commended for their efforts.
