Luigi Chinetti used to be the importer of Ferrari for North America, as well as the owner of NART (North American Racing Team), and his old showroom and garage on 11th Avenue was effectively a museum to late '40s to early '60s Ferrari street and track machines, and the first place I saw an LM.
