I saw the first one in a parking garage on West 19th Street Friday. These 205 MPH Porches cost about a half million USD, and is the first I've seen. Too tight quarters, and partially covered by a tarp, there is not much to be seen of this beauty. The second is far cheaper (by nearly an order of magnitude) and when one considers its pricing, performance and styling, it's a mystery why I've seen so few on the road. the 2nd is at 6:20 this morning on West 32nd Street.

Thanks Stuart- I've only seen two Carrera GTs myself; one in a show and the other passed my when I was cycling, the noise is unbelievable, possibly even better than a Matra F1.... well, maybe not quite that good! :D

The Cayman (Caymen?) are ten a penny round these parts.

Erm... property development is a very profitable profession.

Oh, hang on... Actually, there is one Carrera 2, and one Carrera 4S.

So, that's OK then. :rolleyes::)

There are a LOT of 3 series, and Audi A4s, if that makes you feel more comfortable, Pete. :D

Both my friends in that line of work are in the process of winding up their companies, one of them involuntarily. :( Hard to feel sorry for them though; they've been drowning in Champagne for the last fifteen years whilst I've been sipping brown ale. ;)

Depends what sort of property development you are in.

If you're bag is to build residential apartments, you're in serious trouble. If you take a longer term, more sustainable approach, you (or your colleagues) can still drive Porsches.

And the rest of us may still have a job in 12 months time...

I read about that Porsche.Couldn't believe anyone could afford one. I think my Porsche days are over. I need to ensure my wife is comfortable and we can take the grandchildren in the car. I might get away with another vintage car. Wonderful cars though, Porsches - I've never had a breakdown on any of them
