tobey bilek Posted October 31, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 31, 2008 Nobody likes war, but if our engineering genius did not create them, men and women build them, and more made the ultimate sacrafice flying them, we would be speaking Japanese or German right now. Study what these were capable of doing with 1940 technology. They are amazing.

epand56 Posted November 3, 2008 Share #5 Posted November 3, 2008 I've always loved the P47 Thunderbolt. Beautiful tones and composition.
thompsonkirk Posted November 4, 2008 Share #6 Posted November 4, 2008 That's a very dramatic composition, hard to arrange so many important elements in a tight space. And also difficult lighting. An excellent capture! Kirk PS, may I make a suggestion? Use Shadow/Highlight to give the hangar more depth, & remove some of the cyan color cast? Just my 2 cents' worth of opinion. Guest flatfour Posted November 7, 2008 Share #10 Posted November 7, 2008 Seeing pristine aircraft in hangars somehow detracts from the innate belligerence in their design and use. When you see a B17 shining bright it doesn't convey the anguish and terror of those inside 30,000 feet up with flak rising from below or fighters hoving in to shoot them out of the sky. It's more likely a B29 than a B17 to me, the plane that dropped the atomic bomb over Japan
