Ruhayat Posted October 30, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 30, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, could anyone recommend a good quality digital photo printer that can be used to print A6-sized photos on the move? Either direct from camera, or via USB to a netbook PC. Is dye sub like the Olympus S-P100 still the way to go or have inkjet variants caught up? Thanks in advance. stuny Posted October 30, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 30, 2008 Canon is said to be releasing a dye sublimation one that meets your specs, and to do so before Christmas.
Ruhayat Posted October 31, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted October 31, 2008 Thanks, Stuart. I have never bought one before, not familiar with these things, but am going to need one for the next 2 months due to a project I'm working on.
gDallasK Posted October 31, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 31, 2008 I've had my Canon Selphy A720 for a couple of years - I think they are up to the 740 by now. It prints A6 in a dye-sub process - and the stationery handily incorporated a postcard template on the back. It's small, robust and frequently travels with me. It also accepts Pictbridge input direct from a compatible camera (not from an M8 then ....) The image quality is quite acceptable for postcard size prints.
