jmr Posted October 6, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 6, 2006 Marcello, nice, contrasty shot: do you think it might be leaning a little to the left? [Ducks for cover ]

square_one Posted October 6, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 6, 2006 Ciao Marcello!! The boats, pilings and tall wooden posts along the dirt drive all tilt different ways - which is fine, REAL. The white building along the upper left corner is assumed to be level but in the picture is not, is UNREAL. Proof? Optical physics. The width of the white sunlit wall reflected in the black water is noticably wider than the actual wall. Were the image framed - or subsequently cropped - level, PLUMB, both widths would be the same. You held your camera, or cropped your posted image, ever-so-slightly UNPLUMB. Nobody here needs an appointment with the eye doctor, but YOU must visit YOUR otherwise-excellent landscapes and make them right. Shoot well Marcello ... and please know we all bother because we all care! Bruce
augenschmaus Posted October 7, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 7, 2006 Marcello, what's the problem in checking the verticals in Photoshop by dragging some guides in and rotating the picture a few tenths of a degree?
azzo Posted October 7, 2006 Share #6 Posted October 7, 2006 Dear Tom...Our friend Marcello has the same problem with another photo. It's on the Photo Forum under PEOPLE page 2. The Title is ' On the Ocean '. Is it possible that you do the same thing you did with the above photo ? Regards AZZO

azzo Posted October 7, 2006 Share #8 Posted October 7, 2006 Azzo, I saw your funny controversy on the other pic - don't take it too serious ... TOM...The only serious thing about all this was that Marcello could not see what everybody else was seeing. And as you said, he had only a minor adjustment to correct. Best Regards AZZO
