Agent M10 Posted October 29, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 29, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I wanted a B+W multi-coated filter for my 75 cron and ordered a 49mm, but it doesn't fit. Does anyone have one that does fit, and if so, what number filter is it? Thanks.

peter_n Posted October 29, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2008 I use a B+W MRC UV filter on mine, it fits fine. The number on the box is 70201. The link below is to this filter at B&H. Agent M10 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted October 29, 2008 Thanks - I mistakenly ordered the slim filter.
Agent M10 Posted November 4, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted November 4, 2008 Peter, I bought the 70201 B+W filter, but it doesn't fit. I've had the Leica UVa filter on it since I bought it and that filter has a small flange to it. I found that when I take the Leica filter off, I can take the hood off too. It looks to me like the hood was designed just to slip off. Does the hood just slip off with your B+W filter on?
peter_n Posted November 5, 2008 Share #5 Posted November 5, 2008 Absolutely not. All I can do with my hood is pull it out and twist it so that it locks.
Agent M10 Posted November 5, 2008 Author Share #6 Posted November 5, 2008 Peter, thanks for the reply. After seeing your reply, I took another look at the lens and figured out that the ring that holds the hood in place was coming off with the leica filter. Since they were both black, it all seemed like one piece to me. The B+W is on. Thanks.

Agent M10 Posted November 5, 2008 Author Share #8 Posted November 5, 2008 Now that I figured out the problem, I'll try the slim filter. I'm sure that it works.
