Advertisement Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Hi stuny, Take a look here More New Ferraris. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
van halen Posted October 25, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 25, 2008 i really like the framing on 2 stu, but on a different note i hate the stripes on the 430. it doesn't seem right on a ferrari to me. nice shots though. I heard the resale on these has dropped like a rock in the last 2-4 months. Hard to believe, even with the state of things, but that comes from a friend who tried a typical ferrari swap and the dealer didn't want his car. Guest flatfour Posted October 25, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 25, 2008 Stuny - have you seen the megafactories programme about how they build a new Ferrari ? I'm not surprised they cost so much. Very impressive but I think the car shown was a159. Red certainly looks good with digital. Was this another very early morning shot ?
stuny Posted October 26, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted October 26, 2008 Philip - The Scuderia is a "souped up" version of the 430, and like it or not, comes with the stripes (I prefer it without), though I suspect if one ordered it that way, one could get it without the stripes. At least as of the spring there was a 4 1/2 year waiting list for the 430. Anthony - I'd like to take the tour, and yes, this was early moirng -- About 6:30 last Thursday. Are you sure about the designation "159?" If memory serves, that was a one-off from the late 1940s. Have they resurected the designation? At the time the number designation usually referred to the displacement of one cylinder.
