A while back, they released a beta version or "release candidiate" mentioned here: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/digital-forum/64345-lr-2-1-a.html To upgrade to 2.1, open Lightroom 2.0, Help Menu>Search for Updates and follow the prompts. LR2 - now updated to 2.1 is not really an update to LR1 (hence the message you got)- rather a new version with lots of added features. Am I very out of date! Yes Keith, Unfortunately there was an update you have to pay for in between, LR to LR2. Think of it as upgrading from CS3 to CS4. As spylaw commented, this was a substantial upgrade and well worth it. I should have been more clear in my original post and state you have to be a current owner of LR2.
