audidudi Posted October 17, 2008 Share #21 Posted October 17, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) No question in my mind, the metal (not plastic) CV 28 is the way to go. Wonderfully clear and bright, little distortion. Unfortunately, it's also designed for a 3:2 format rather than the D2's 4:3 format, which I find a bit problematic, as I generally try to compose my images tightly in order to preserve as much of the camera's resolution as possible for the final print. I have one I bought to use with my now-departed Sigma DP-1 and do occasionally use it with my D2, but I would swap it in an instant for one designed for a 4:3 format. Advertisement Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Hi audidudi, Take a look here Digilux 2 or Digilux 3 to buy? Help. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
steve_l Posted October 17, 2008 Share #22 Posted October 17, 2008 well, yeah, the aspect ration isn't perfect, but I quickly got used to where the frame actually fell - left and right are accurate, and you learn quickly where the top and bottom fall - since there is room around the framelines you can still see the whole frame. More accurate than my M8, actually.....
bernardo Posted October 18, 2008 Author Share #23 Posted October 18, 2008 So, after looking at quite a lot of Digilux 2 samples I must consider, that there are very impressive results. Nice colors, great sharpness. I found the quality even more beautiful compared to D3 samples. So I bought a D2 on Ebay for nice price. I'll post my first impressions soon. Someone interested in a leathercase for Digilux 2? It was included in the auction but I dont need it. Cheers Bernard
rjans Posted October 19, 2008 Share #24 Posted October 19, 2008 Congrats with your Digilux 2, enjoy. It happens that this week I got mine also including the black leather case. I like the kit. This is a real camera compared to my D-Lux3. Does anabody know what maximum capacity of SD cards can be used? At this moment I'm using 1 and 2 Gb cards. Best Roger

Exactly my feelings, too. As for memory cards, I do think 2 GB is the limit. That´s what I use, and I get more than 180 raws onto one card. I don´t need more capacity, really.
