Guest Lotw Posted October 8, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) M8, 90/2.0 APO, F2.5 (or 2.0?) I wonder if there aren't more forum members who would like to see the character of a lens, instead of merely judging (Leica-)images as such, so that's why I chose this title (for the search engine). The first weeks after buying this lens I kept thinking whether I shouldn't have taken the 75/2.0 but I'm over that now. Depth of field/bokeh is so nice with this lens. biglouis Posted October 9, 2008 Share #5 Posted October 9, 2008 Lot It is a great lens - I actually sold my APO 75/2 to purchase my APO 90/2. I'm glad to find someone else who is as enthusiastic about this lens as I am. I use it a lot for landscape work but truth be told it really shines as a portrait lens. It has a delicacy to light management, as shown in your shot, which is superb. Louis

It's as if the sun is shining in the cookie, whereas it was a normal cloudy day and this was taken in northern light too. Thanks for the reinforcement of my decision
roguewave Posted October 10, 2008 Share #7 Posted October 10, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Lot, lovely light. The inside of top is superb. I like the selective focus. This does have a timeless feel.
Guest Lotw Posted October 10, 2008 Share #8 Posted October 10, 2008 Ben, Louis, Stuart, Robert and David, thank you all for the nice comments, I hereby give the compliments through to Leica for this lens. (I was not really happy with my M8 at first because of all sorts of small but irritant back- and frontfocus problems, but now that all my lenses and body are adjusted in Solms, I am beginning to get back my confidence and joy with this set.)
