patricko Posted October 6, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, Please excuse my lack of camera knowledge! I've been thinking about getting my first Leica for some time now, to replace my Sony T1 that finally gave up the ghost. One feature I really liked about my T1 was that as well as a Macro mode it also had a Micro mode which allowed me to be as little as 10mm distance from my subject. This was great for me because I really love to take photos of insects. I'm not so clued up about camera terminology so I would really appreciate it if somebody could tell me how good the C-Lux 3 would be for my purposes? Or should I go for the D-Lux 4 instead? Thanks for any help in advance!
Advertisement Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Hi patricko, Take a look here C-Lux 3: how good is the macro?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
patricko Posted October 6, 2008 Author Share #2 Posted October 6, 2008 Perhaps I could phrase the question better, by asking if anyone could post a link to photos taken with the c-lux 3 in its macro mode? thanks again!
stuny Posted October 7, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 7, 2008 Patrick - Welcome to the Forum. True macro? Not quite. However, the image quality is up to being cropped. For examples go to my site and see The Borneo photo galleries pages 4, 10, 11 & 12. Also see the New York galleries page 29.
