Of course, it was on the first day of a six day wilderness excursion......I missed hundreds of prize-winning photographs....forced to live with the memories in my mind.....Any Suggestions ???? harmsr Posted October 3, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 3, 2006 How about sending to Leica USA for a repair.
stuny Posted October 3, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 3, 2006 Al - Yes, send it to Leica USA. If worse comes to worse, and it is not repairable (and not covered by warrantee) they will probably give you the opportunity to buy a replacement at cost. This is what happened when Barbara and her Trinovit 10X25 BNCs went for an unscheduled river swim.
elansprint72 Posted October 3, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 3, 2006 Next time....... I know, I know..... small cameras etc, should be put into one of those freezer bags which has the seal which you squeeze together- a bit like a zipper but without the teeth. If you take care to close them they are totally waterproof. Sorry to hear of your problem. Cheers, Pete.
