Guest Bernd Banken Posted February 16, 2009 Share #22 Posted February 16, 2009 Just picked up this this morning in Réponses Photo (together with Cd'I a leading French photomag): good old country leather! Le Sac du Berger Surf to Shepherd's Bags in the Catalogue. At Manufactum (the Good Old Things from the past) they offer this very heavy bag (1.3 kg) for several years beside other wonderful "old school" products: Provençalische Tasche

mikef Posted February 18, 2009 Share #24 Posted February 18, 2009 Has anyone ordered one of the bags - if so what do you think - will the number 3 hold one body and 4 lens?Has anyone even seen one and how the insides look? I have a Number 3. Conceivably you could get a body and four lenses in there but they'd all be piled on top of each other. The inside of the bag is the unfinished side of the leather, so padding and separators are required. I first tried a Billingham Hadley small insert but its wider than the bag so you really have to cram it in there, but with a separator you could get a body with lens on one side and another lens on the other. I've ordered a couple of Billingham Superflex partitions and am going to try them next.
