spylaw4 Posted September 23, 2008 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't recall seeing this posted on here yet, but Adobe have released Lightroom 2.1 - Release Candidate. Seems to have fixed quite number of annoying bugs in 2.0. Just thought you might like to know.

farnz Posted September 23, 2008 Share #3 Posted September 23, 2008 Brian, Last night I was trawling webland for other people who were having the same problems I was - Lr going to Lala-land after selecting the Auto white balance feature, and being unable to create Virtual Copies and I unexpectedly came across the update (even though Lr steadfastly refused to admit that there was an update!). I am happy to report that both problems appear to be fixed in Lightroom 2.1 although I notice that the banner states "Lightroom 2" rather than Lightroom 2.1 as the LR 1x series did. Additionally, 'About Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 ...' under the Help menu keeps the version to itself and just displays the Silvertone logo so I have know way of knowing what version I'm using. Still, I'm riotously happy to be rid of those damned bugs! (If I still had any hair it would be lying in clumps on the floor by now! ) Pete.
farnz Posted September 23, 2008 Share #4 Posted September 23, 2008 Aha!! I just cracked the version thingy. It's down to the Lightroom 'Easter Egg' (which is a secret screen installed by the developers for fun and can only be accessed with a combination of secret keystrokes). For Lr, select 'About Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 ...' from the Help menu and when the patch appears hold down the "R" key and click on the patch. Pete.
