Rolo Posted September 15, 2008 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Now that this Leica M news is published and the M product range available for the immediate future is known, we can all dream of how we can can spend our cash, or not. Assuming somebody gave you a Leica Voucher for $7,000 which of the new items would you spend it on, and why ? Rolo esp for Jaap - voucher expires after 4 months. esp for imants - No hookers allowed ! Your opportunity to buy a Leica, but a body & lens ? I'll give you my voucher for that. :-)
Advertisement Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Hi Rolo, Take a look here New Leica - Birthday present ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 15, 2008 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2008 To be quite honest - I wouldn't know. I am quite happy with the gear I have and really have no desire for more or newer. Well, I would keep it against a "real" R10, if that hypothetical beast ever appears.
rob_x2004 Posted September 15, 2008 Share #3 Posted September 15, 2008 eBay sellers transaction fees? To be honest I would list it as one of the first one hundred serial number with collector status value and sell it at ... eight thousand?

Rolo Posted September 15, 2008 Author Share #5 Posted September 15, 2008 .......... pay my shrink a lot more money as a camera in the head is better then one in the hand Presumably, that will only buy you one session ? However, I fully understand your need. Rolo
stunsworth Posted September 15, 2008 Share #6 Posted September 15, 2008 24mm Summilux, or wait for the 28mm Summilux. On second thoughts, why wait. 24mm Summilux and start saving for another lens.

sdai Posted September 15, 2008 Share #11 Posted September 15, 2008 I'd eBay the voucher. But who will buy your voucher if it doesn't have more buying power than cash?
Guest darkstar2004 Posted September 15, 2008 Share #12 Posted September 15, 2008 75/2 ASPH and a 135/3.4 APO and $500 worth of film. Or a 75/2 ASPH and a second MP body (of course, then I'd be $700 in the hole).
Rolo Posted September 15, 2008 Author Share #13 Posted September 15, 2008 75/2 ASPH and a 135/3.4 APO and $500 worth of film. Or a 75/2 ASPH and a second MP body (of course, then I'd be $700 in the hole). Sorry DarkStar, it is specifically for the 'new' items. Interesting that nobody has yet said M8.2. Not surprising as that doesn't really enhance your images like a Nocti, or a 21mm. Wonder if M8's will be sold to fund new glass ? The wide Lux's have got to be revelation on FF. Wide angle with bokeh, OMG ! Rolo
