Advertisement Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hi shashibasis, Take a look here Pics from my v-lux 1 at wild safari. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted September 9, 2008 Share #2 Posted September 9, 2008 Shashi - Great Adventure? Very nice series, and the V-Lux-1 is an excellent camera for safaris -- I've caused three people to buy them before going on African safaris. I especially like the giraffe close-up in #3, which is classic portraiture. The male ostrich has potential, but I think you over processed it. The macaws are quite good, too. The walking giraffe, I believe, needs both rotation to the left, and some exposure compensation....
shashibasis Posted September 10, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted September 10, 2008 Hi Stuart, Thank you very much, i did not edit anything ...just uploaded...pic which you have edited and sent looks pretty good. I need to start learning the art of editing pics. What software do you suggest Stuart?. Regards Shashi Mettu
stuny Posted September 10, 2008 Share #4 Posted September 10, 2008 Shashi - I'm using very basic software -- Software that came with my first digital camera, the D2 four and one half years ago.. The software is ACDSee. The software that came with your V-Lux is probably better and newer.
andybarton Posted September 10, 2008 Share #5 Posted September 10, 2008 From what I have seen of V-Lux images, they need some post processing to get the best out of them. An investment in an up-to-date version of Photoshop (Elements or above) will pay dividends.
