Blue Posted October 17, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 17, 2008 The portraits are well done, and interesting. But I question the way it was put together. What does Billy jean King have to do with Wisdom? Or Kris Kristofferson, as much as I like him as a singer and that he seems to be a good guy? Willie Nelson, such a nice guy, but... There are others whose presence on such a list is dubious, but a couple are downright unreal. Madeleine Albright almost surely has blood on her hands, having to argue with Colin Powell who was more reluctant than she to use military force in the Balkans. For her arrogance and indifference to 500,000 children dead, read here: "It’s a hard choice, but I think, we, think, it’s worth it." Her response to a May 11, 1996 60 Minutes question about the over half a million children killed by the [iraqi] sanctions Death of 500,000 Children 'Worth It' But the most outrageous name on the list is Henry Kissinger, a willing participant and advocate of mass murder committed against the Viet Namese people. he should be rotting in a dungeon, not on this last. This has to be an American project as the list is such a hodgepodge it reflects extreme bias and a blind eye...
HarryW Posted October 17, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 17, 2008 Rolo, Thanks for the link. A real mixed bunch but interesting concept none the less. If I had to select fifty people to obtain wisdom from I'm not sure that there would be many from Andrew Zuckerman's selection on my list. Didn't notice any photographers there - maybe you were out the day his call came through Regards Harry
