External Flash for the V-Lux1

Recommended Posts

V-Lux accessories are the same as Panasonic for FZ50

the flash has an Olympus pinout, so any Olympus digital compatible flash is ok, that includes some of the Metz units.

you can use Panasonic DMW-FL360 and DMW-FL500 flash, but you will likely find the identical Olympus FL36, FL50 units are cheaper. there is also Panasonic DMW-FL28, but unlike the 36/50 series, i dont know if it is TTL

it isnt compatible, read the thread fully and see i had to correct him

the Digilux 2 and the V-Lux 1 have different flash pinouts

D2 has a Leica hotshoe, and V-Lux and L1 have an Olympus hotshoe

they are quite different, look at them

Yes, I was wrong, Riley was right! :D I bought the Olympus FL50, hell of a powerful thing, don't look at it when firing! The Panasonic ones are made by Olympus, I guess that's why they are dearer.

I'm surprised by the prices being asked on ebay for the SF24D, mine came "free" with my D2.
