ijporter Posted September 27, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 27, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Kings Canyon is in Australia's Northern Territory, a few hundred kilometres north of Uluru (Ayer's Rock). A fissure in the plateau has created an oasis named, appropriately, The Garden of Eden, which leads to an opening at the Canyon's head. The Canyon is a most magnificent place in which to spend a few days! R6 21SA Sensia
Advertisement Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Hi ijporter, Take a look here Kings Canyon. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted September 28, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 28, 2006 Ian - This looks promising on my inferior work monitor -- I'll have to look again using my home monitor. This remids me of a place a few hundred miles south of there - Palm Valley.

lambroving Posted September 28, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 28, 2006 Ian, You have a good eye. Excellent light and framing again, but like your bath tub shot, it looks a little dark on a PC. You're on a Mac? Can you post a lighter version of both shots for the rest of us?
ijporter Posted September 28, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted September 28, 2006 Hello William, I say this tongue-in-cheek, but in view of your comment about monitor clarity, hadn't you best get yourself a Mac too?! I can hear the rest of the forum crying out, 'Them's fightin' words'! I've increased the brightness of the post somewhat, but because I'm not sure of the amount you required, I've taken a guess and also increased the saturation a little as well. with best wishes, Ian
lambroving Posted September 28, 2006 Share #7 Posted September 28, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ian, Not bad. Knew there was more in the slide. Clarity is not the issue. Too technical for me to explain..., or understand! DD can make these adjustments best. BTW, 2% - 4% of the world is on a Mac, depending on where you Google. I'm a business user of several PC's. While I dislike Microsoft with a passion, I'm stuck with Windoze for work and don't need any more complication in my life. Most websites are also designed to display on PC at 1024x768, certainly most businesses. Mac is more popular with the design crowd. I believe Apple gave them all free computers 15 years ago!
