Hi I think the Lieca projector at the club I'm a member of needs a bit of a look at;) . Last night at the clubs meet the slides needed putting in manually, fortunately there were only 4 . As one of the few slide takers in a mainly digital club I would hate to see a broken projector be the final nail in the coffin for film at the club. So I'm looking for suggestions where the club ( or even myself) can get this projector looked at, at a reasonable cost:D Ideally in the UK and not far from Manchester.

The projector is a PRADOVIT Colour 250 autofocus

Suggestions and Recommendations appreciated.

Are you sure it's actually broken. I had a similar experience with a similar model - it just wouldn't "move on" the magazine and feed. We found that putting it into a very warm room for a while, and then "encouraging it" by giving an empty mazazine a strategic gentle push eventually got it moving. Then running the magazine up and down from start to finish a dozen or so times seemed to sort it out - almost as if it had got a bit gunged up. The fix may be temporary, but it's still going OK. Worth a try I guess?

Hi John

Thanks for the reply. I'll certainly pass your suggestion on. One opinion was that it might be full of dust etc. it was last used about April  shows how little use it gets, even inter club competitions are almost all prints/digital images.
