If you leave the M55 at Kirkham and take 1st left to Kirkham there is a workshop on the LHS about a 1 mile down, which TVR are using at the moment. There is a windsock in the field immediately at the back and the Huey is often there. It was featured on Look North some months ago with some visiting Americans who had flown them in anger.

Thanks for the interesting links Chris; I've posted another shot "Bite and Strike".

 

In the 80's I worked in Crewe and every morning, at the same time, a Huey flew South following the railway line; I never found out where it came from or went to. Every so often the Mosquito from Broughton came over, also following the tracks on the way to a display, sadly no Mosquitos are airworthy at the moment.
