Leitzmac Posted October 8, 2011 Author Share #21 Posted October 8, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear LeitzmacMay I ask if the Leica shop auction scheduled on 12 Nov 2011 is selling your M2 button camera? They hv the same serial no. Thanx:confused: No need for confusion; they are indeed selling the M2. Feels strange to be selling it.

Leitzmac Posted October 13, 2011 Author Share #25 Posted October 13, 2011 Sorry forgot the attachments. Here is the picture of mine. Strange that the Betriebsk No. engraving on yours is in a different place. I wonder what the reason for that is?
Rotwang Posted October 14, 2011 Share #26 Posted October 14, 2011 The "Betriebskameras" were used for internal use only and produced / engraved only when needed. So why to take care about place of engravings or spend money for tools or fixture? In my opinion it is not so remarkeble?

Biplano Posted May 7, 2019 Share #29 Posted May 7, 2019 Can somebody provide an information about this M2 with only a 4 digit serial number ? It does not have the Betriebsk. engraving and looks like an incomplete serial number from 1964. Thanks! Welcome, dear visitor! His email is on his website. The Betriebsk cameras are all early ones with button rewind, whereas yours appears to have a lever, but your photo is not that clear.
