Advertisement Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Hi johnastovall, Take a look here Canon FD to Leica SM Converter?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
doubice Posted August 10, 2008 Share #2 Posted August 10, 2008 John, The link you provided does indeed show an original 'Canon Adapter B', which allows use of Canon FD lenses on a Leica / Canon screwmount body. By adding an LTM to M mount adapter, it can also be used for M bodies. Infinity focus is fully maintained but, there will obviously be no rangefinder coupling. fuchs Posted August 10, 2008 Share #3 Posted August 10, 2008 Yes, as there was also a german Novoflex one, code LEICAN like this one: Novoflex made all sort of interesting Nikkor, M42, etc adapters for the LTM. I do not know if they're still in production. I regret having long sold this one, as I have now a Canon FD 7.5mm fisheye that would be *rather* interesting on the M8. Best, Ed (PS: Sorry the commercial copyright, I could not find the originals in my macbook, they should be at home on a different hard drive. In any case, the pictures copyrights are mine). lars_bergquist Posted August 13, 2008 Share #5 Posted August 13, 2008 I bought a Novoflex Olympus OM—Leica M adapter a year ago and it works fine. The old man from the Age of the M42 Thread
peterm1_Leica Posted February 5, 2010 Share #6 Posted February 5, 2010 I own a Novoflex Leican version - the original Canon B converter sometimes turns up on eBay but always attracts a premium price and I have never been successful in buying one at a price I am willing to pay. The Novoflex is excellent quality.
