Advertisement Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hi George James, Take a look here Lamborghini Murcielago. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted August 6, 2008 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2008 George - Based on your avatar I suspect this brute is yours. Excellent environmental portrait, and the overcast day let you capture really interesting color saturation without too many reflections. I think Lambos (Murcielagos & Gallardos in particular) are the only cars that look really good in yellow, which seems to underscore their wonderful attitude of super high performance. BTW: A few years ago one of our top salesmen (a particularly obnoxious man who was more like a 14-year-old boy) saw some of us having post-work drinks and snacks outside, and went across the street to the garage of his townhouse to bring out his Lambo, park it on the street by our table, and hold court as he sat on the edge of the closed passenger door. After he felt he made his point (Master of the Universe) he jumped it (literally), started the massive engine, put it into gear, and stalled out. Three months later the Murcielago was released. I photocopied the road test from Road & Track, and placed it on his desk with a note saying something to the effect of, “I guess you’ve got to dump your obsolete Diablo.” No comment, even though I signed the note. George James Posted August 6, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted August 6, 2008 Stuart, No the Lamborghini is not mine, it belongs to someone I know. Although I could not afford to put the petrol into the car let alone insure it, I still think it is a lovely piece of 20th century design.
