Advertisement Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hi JHAG, Take a look here Lightroom 4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Metroman Posted September 25, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 25, 2006 I love the bit in the e-mail: "We're pleased to announce that Adobe Photoshop Lightroom beta 4 is now ready for you to download and use. This is the first release to reveal the full name we are giving to the product, as Lightroom takes its place as the newest member of the Photoshop family of digital imaging and photography software." Geez the marketing boys must have had some sleepless nights thinking up what to call it
JHAG Posted September 25, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted September 25, 2006 Would have preferred "Adobe Photoroom Lightshop" ;-)
christer Posted September 25, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 25, 2006 I am unable to save changes when I use Literoom4, unless I use some trick like exporting the file. Is "save" not a feature of the free version?
abrewer Posted September 25, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 25, 2006 I think I understand your question correctly about saving...that is, Lightroom saves the settings you make automatically and they are there when you return to the file later without having to "Ctl-S" or "Save" from a drop-down as in regular Photoshop and Elements. Thanks. Allan
Guest Metroman Posted September 25, 2006 Share #6 Posted September 25, 2006 I am unable to save changes when I use Literoom4, unless I use some trick like exporting the file. Is "save" not a feature of the free version? Christer Lightroom is non-destructive - meaning it does not do anything to the original file. All the tweaks and changes you make are stored in separate files linked in Lightroom to the original. If you want to have a copy with all the adjustments you have to export a copy of the file which will have the changes. Hope this helps.
