elansprint72 Posted July 28, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 28, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) At Le Mans Classic (where it is either boiling-hot sunshine or totally pissing down) they keep the cars in covered paddocks; this seems to get up the collective noses of many of the Canon-toting "media-snappers" with four+ bodies and huge lenses on sticks, due to the reflections from the "tents". Some would see this situation as an opportunity. I took the Digilux 2 and the V-Lux 1 to the event this time (the C-Lux2 was employed purely for personal shots, mainly in the bars ) , hardly what one would call top-end equipment , however, who's shots from the last event were used for 13 out of 30 pages for the publicity brochures (not to mention the websites)? Given that there were over 1k "accredited" snappers on site over the week-end, I'd say that's not too-shabby a record. note to self........ remove smug filter, you're bound to post a total clunker within the next 24 hours............. ooops, too late.
