Hi everybody,

well, I finally got me an M6, and a black beauty at that!! Just had it serviced and everything. I use an M8 regularly, with a 28mm summicron ASPH, and a newly acquired 50mm summilux pre-asph, latest model. These lenses will ofcourse work great on my M6, but I think that some lenses work best on digital, and some lenses work best on film. So, I'm looking for a stay-on 99% of the time lens for my M6, to make an analogue, old-school kit, you could say. I think maybe I would get an old 50mm summicron, some of them should be great. Which version summicron would you get? Or maybe an old Canon or Nikon 50mm rangefinder lens, some of those should be quite good as well. There seems to be so many great old lenses to choose from, which one should I get? I know this may all sound a bit excentric, me already having a 50mm summilux and all, but, hey, rationality isn't part of the equation for me:)

Keep your money in your pocket or keep thoughts like the ones your having to yourself, or, alternatively, your condition is treatable. In Buddhism we refer to this state of mind as hungry ghost mind

I use a type 1 "rigid" Summicron which is a wonderful lens if you're planning on shooting in b&w. However I can't stand the tab/infinity lock on it so I'll replace it with the DR version of the same lens. Both these Summicrons are excellent, sharp but with that old vintage look. Take a look on flickr for images and use the tags rigid & DR summicron:
