Annibale G. Posted July 17, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 17, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm using a Metz 44 Mz-2 on M7 with a SCA3502. I don't know if something is broken, don't go or I didn't understand. The flash system recognize the iso film but don't recognize the aperture, so it seems that I have to put it in the flash. Then is it possible that exposure in interior without flash in asa 400 is 1/50 f/2 and with the flash Ttl mode is 1/50 f/4? Can't I use closer f/? And in a darker ambient, room I can't even shoot? Am I wrong in something? Annibale

jaapv Posted July 17, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 17, 2008 A flash cannot read out the aperture on any M film camera as there is no aperture link from the lens to the body. With TTL flash the camera will "tell" the flash when the appropriate amount of light has been reached, shutting it down, with the flash on A the aperture setting on the flash readout must be transferred to the lens, enabling the flash to do the right calculation.
