Phil_C Posted July 17, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 17, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is my first post. I am the proud owner of a new Digilux 3 - one of the last in Australia I think. Does anybody know if I need to run the firmware upgrade or would it already have the update included? Also I am thinking about additional lenses, particularly a macro and possibly wide angle. The Olympus Zuikos sound good - the 50mm macro as well at the 11-22mm wide angle zoom, although I am thinking that this won't be much wider than the 14-50mm kit lens that I already have. Any thoughts on the best lenses from other D-lux 3 users? Phil_C

DonQuijote Posted July 29, 2008 Share #4 Posted July 29, 2008 Hi Phil, the 7-14mm f4 super-wide angle is a nice lens, so is the f2 50mm macro- very sharp, and you should consider the Sumilux f1.4 prime lens. I have all three lense and they all work very nicely with the Digilux-3. Happy shooting.... Mike

Somehow (without doing a lot of tests in comparison) I have mixed impressions about it. When shooting raw and zooming in in Lightroom I tend to feel a lack of detail (a bit unsharp in comparison to the kit lens at 14mm) Do you have the same effect or may it be that the good offer from Hong Kong that a colleague of mine brought me over (a lot cheaper) is a little faulty? It is just my impression. All the best Martin
