Advertisement Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Hi audidudi, Take a look here Any interest in a "kit" to convert an LC1/D2 to IR-only?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
brianv Posted July 13, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 13, 2008 Why not put in a clear filter to pass visible and IR, and use it like an IR film camera? The glass filter is required as it is part of the optical path, but is usually very inexpensive from optical shops.
farnz Posted July 13, 2008 Share #3 Posted July 13, 2008 I think you'd find it very difficult to find the appropriate IR-pass filter (092, 093, 89B etc) in a 69mm fitting, which would mean the inconvenience of using a larger filter and step up rings and the risk of flare from light reflecting off the back of the filter. For me, Jeffrey's solution looks to be better, providing that you're happy to only use the camera for IR. Pete.
