jlm Posted September 21, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) how about re-combining the M8 subforum into the digital forum? there are enough M8 posts in both to make the split un-necessary.

Guest chris_h Posted September 21, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 21, 2006 Maybe the international voices are more successful, than the Germans alone ...
gepetto Posted September 21, 2006 Share #6 Posted September 21, 2006 I think the problem is the digital sub forum needed to be set up like the photo section. People are not seeing the M8 sub forum when clicking on the digital forum and just posting M8 question in the general digital area. When the M8 sub forum was added the moderators needed to create a general digital sub forum, D-series sub forum and compact camera forums and the such. philipotto Posted September 21, 2006 Share #7 Posted September 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I prefered the simplicity of the old format. Customer Forum. Digital Forum. Photo Forum>people etc. I heard that the reason for the M8 forum is for statistics sake, to bring the numbers back to Leica, who is paying the bills for this wonderful forum. In this case the M8 forum will disapear and the threads will be moved into the digital forum after the M8 is delivered. I think keeping the categories to the minimum makes the forum easiest to read. albertwang Posted September 22, 2006 Share #9 Posted September 22, 2006 Won't the dust only settle with the dust-buster on the Digilux 3? (j/k) Jumping forums is hard. Please make search function better!
grober Posted September 22, 2006 Share #10 Posted September 22, 2006 Sometimes I can find the M8 forum; sometimes (like right now!) not. Why so elusive?
harmsr Posted September 23, 2006 Share #11 Posted September 23, 2006 I would prefer to just have the single Digital forum. Best, Ray
starwatcher Posted September 23, 2006 Share #12 Posted September 23, 2006 Folks, the M8 section will be recombined with the digital section once the M8 hype has gone. The section was established to cover the "hot phase" and allow members to find dedicated M8 posts directly without searching them in the digital world section... So give us a few weeks (we wait until the Photokina and some aftermath is finished) and then we're back. best - Klaus
