Overgaard Posted September 21, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone have experience with using a 2GB card in a D1. The prices are so low I might as well get a 2GB rather than just a 1GB. I lost the 1GB card I had originally bought for it (which at that time cost me 7 times what it cost these days). Advertisement Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Hi Overgaard, Take a look here 2GB SD-card for D1?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Overgaard Posted September 21, 2006 Author Share #2 Posted September 21, 2006 I did buy the Kingston 1GB now. 144 dkr (21$). Thought that the idea about buying a 2GB to make sure it was big enough for future use ... well, that might look stupid fromt he future as prices only go down and the number of GBs go up. Thanks. dan_drabek Posted September 21, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 21, 2006 One gig seems like plenty for the D1. I guess it depends on your shooting style. I use a 500meg SD and haven't filled it yet.
gepetto Posted September 21, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 21, 2006 Thorsten 2GB cards work fine in the D1. Shooting JPG's you will have capacity for over a 1,000 images. Shooting TIFF's allows for about 166. Price per MB the larger cards are cheaper.
Overgaard Posted September 21, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted September 21, 2006 DD, I actually realized the same. That I never actually filled a 1GB card with the 519 hires shots it allows there. But except for that, I love shooting series of four or bracketing three. But I did manage to do an assignment this morning on a 64 MB card even doing so...
