PhotoArchival Posted July 3, 2008 Share #24 Posted July 3, 2008 Ronald, I'm not a pro, but my sister kinda made me the other photographer for our other sisters wedding in Florida. I felt comfortable enough, but I was completely out of my element. My compliments to you and other wedding photographers. I have found new respect, and upon viewing the shots I took, I hope to learn a few things from my mistakes. I agree completely about the above comments! Amado. p.s. I didn't have any cake either! Rona!d Posted July 3, 2008 Author Share #25 Posted July 3, 2008 Amado, i can understand your feelings about beeing "encouraged" to take some photos on a wedding. I´m not a wedding photographer (this was my first real one) but the couple wanted me to be their (only one). I told them I´ll take my cameras along on THEIR own risk. We did some testshots which made us a little more sure that it "could" work. But you never know. I started two hrs before the church to get these shots i´d posted, the whole conditions like light, rooms etc. were far away from perfect, available light with a small extra system flash. It was pretty challenging, i forgot breakfast, i forgot lunch, i forgot the cake, my first "meal" was after 9 p.m., some salad and dessert. If you want to party, leave your camera at home, if you´re looking for a challenge and get easily bored on such events, take pictures:rolleyes: p.s. The formal shots are the most boring part, but don´t take them easy, you need some good entertainer-genes to get >70 people with open eyes in ONE shot. I counted on photoshop, but i found one shot (of about 25) that fits without.
