stuny Posted June 23, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Modern is the fancy restaurant at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). It’s lunches are superb, though dinners considerably less so. The décor and service are spot-on at either meal. Here we see over Barbara’s menu (Hmm – I show you a lot of restaurants), past a floral arrangement, and into the kitchen, which also has a floral arrangement. The second image is into the kitchen. For less formal, and less pricy eating, the café on the 5th floor is excellent, and they have a cafeteria on the second floor. We’ve not tried that one. The permanent collection at MoMA is stunning, as is the space.

stuny Posted June 27, 2008 Author Share #2 Posted June 27, 2008 This may be a social gaff of some sort, but I’m bumping this thread because I’m wondering if I’m too close to these photos to be objective about their quality, or if I just posted them at the wrong time. backwater Posted June 27, 2008 Share #3 Posted June 27, 2008 The elegance and subtly of color in No. 1 is well-conveyed. No. 2 has great compositional strength, and the reflection is so well-positioned that it can be seen also as being transparent. I wish I had better color vision (R-G blindness) so that I could have a better appreciation of such work.
