JHAG Posted June 13, 2008 Share #1 Â Posted June 13, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) On a hint by imants, I tried Silkypix. I must say I'm quite impressed. GUI apart (far from clean, as LR), RAW/DNG conversion gives you best of both worlds : neutrality of Aperture, fine details (it seems) of C1.

I've been using it since ver 2 was released, and ver 3 GUI (but not only) is just heaven vs the previous ones. I do not need the "asset management" which is a big part of LR, I have my own tools for that, so I do appreciate a pure developer like S/P and love the colours I get from it. For me it's the closest thing to my RSP of old, well, actually much better as it never showed the maze patterns that plagued me with RSP, my biggest and only complaint against it. Maybe not as fast, but if that's the trade-off, I can live with it pretty well. Â Just my two (euro)cent of course.
