spydrxx Posted June 11, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 11, 2008 A quick Google indicated it is a helical focusing mount for a 50mm f2.8 elmar/it? for the Focoslide, and adaptable to other focal length lenses via a series of adapters.
luigi bertolotti Posted June 12, 2008 Share #3 Posted June 12, 2008 Is an accessory for the focusing stage system usually known as Focoslide: a device which couples, side by side, a Leica and a viewer with lens, used for reproduction works (Leitz sold also complete repro systems, with base, column, lamps etc...). The VXZOO (then coded as 16608) was used to mount the Elmar 50 2,8 in bayonet mount on the "Focoslide" device (code OOBAZ for screwmount Leicas, OOTGU for M mount Leicas) Rare ? possible, but not of great interest: Leitz in the years, listed hundreds of adapters of any kind...
