I received a box of prints this morning from Ilford and eagerly opened it with anticipation as this was my first film (FP4) through my newly acquired M6/ 35mm Summicron asph camera. I must say I am delighted by the cross section of subjects taken which include interior shots at the recent Cartier Bresson exhibition in Bradford, architectural shots in Bradford and Leeds and interior shots at home. I am only sorry that I cannot post images as I don't possess the necessary equipment to do this and am not sure I can afford it. I might have to look into B&W processing again

This first roll has shown me that I might be lacking a 50mm lens and after due consideration I guess I would maybe opt for a 50mm Summicron with integral hood. The 35mm Summicron asph is astonishing by the way. Those who read my posting re exposure meters might be interested to learn that the Sekonic L398 was in fact way out and the replacement old Weston Master V is spot on and I bet the dealer will just sell the Sekonic on to some poor unsuspecting customer

Kenneth,

Re. posting images, there are a couple of easy options for you.

Ask for a photo CD with your processing. The CD images will be low resolution jpegs but fine for web use or making small reprints.

Alternatively, if you just want to post images here, and aren't interested in making high quality neg scans for reproduction, buy a flat bed document scanner and make scans from the prints.

Thanks for that James. I guess I might explore D&P it is a good few years since I did any and in those days it was mainly medium format but I do so love big prints. Do Leitz still produce enlarger lenses I wonder?
