Hi Chip,

Yes, that's what worries me with insurance, "the fine print in greek" .

People tend to be less careful if they have coverage.

Like when I lost my Nokia 3100 that was insured for damage or loss.

Damaged with evidence that I ship to them, they pay 80%.

Loss, I saved $15 of the maket value for what I have to share.

Another insurance catch 21.

My psudo D-lux will be on the mail by wednesday with an extra battery.

I'm so exited and it will be my first camera where I don't need a bag to carry around. =)

Cheers,

-Ron

I have the LX1, and found it to be a perfect companion on my rainy day wanderings around Reykjavik in February this past year.

I probably would get over my M8 lust if I could get a P&S with a decent sized sensor with a 28-80 35mm eqv. zoom. It seems that the new Sigma might be the best alternative though (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0609/06092604sigmadp1.asp). Just wish it had a 2.8 lens.

A friend came into work this morning with the news that her newish Canon 30D had been stolen from her home.

The worst part is that her laptop was also stolen. She had stored all of her pics on the laptop [except for the ones that were still in the camera].

A good case for backing up everything.

... and to keep shooting on film...
