If I had a silver lux, I`d sure vote for that. Plenty of glass is shiny and beautiful. pretty cool:cool:

fotografr Posted May 23, 2008 Share #42 Posted May 23, 2008 Black with 35mm Summicron IV. Love that neat lens hood. Noise courtesy of Panasonic Lumix (Leica lens) 400ASA Chris--You forgot to put tape over the "Leica" on your soft release.
Amoment Posted May 23, 2008 Share #43 Posted May 23, 2008 Re: The tape. Sometimes I wear my expensive watch and at other times I wear a £25 Swatch, having been on the end of a mugging or two, I think prudence is in order. I want to blend in when I'm on the street, not stand out with a great big flashing £ sign above my head. Stuart
brill64 Posted May 25, 2008 Share #44 Posted May 25, 2008 Its been pretty slow on the from recently so sporting views of best dressed is as good as anything else I suppose. More on point, I don’t much care for the red Leica logo although not because I’m concerned with getting mugged. In fact, I’m still looking for one of that titanium logo’s that really looks great on the silver body like this one originally posted by another member. In any event, this is all in good fun. Besides, who in their right mind would not find this baby very attractive!Regards, Daniel, did you recover your M8 with a vulcanite or leather finish and if so which one?. It looks and I bet it feels fantastic to use. John
Daniel Ortego Posted May 25, 2008 Share #45 Posted May 25, 2008 Daniel, did you recover your M8 with a vulcanite or leather finish and if so which one?. Takes away some of the desire to have an exotic cover because it’s so darn functional. Besides, I can now see that the Griptac may bode well on the silver M8 so go figure. Back on point (sorta), I received my latest acquisition yesterday, being a new silver 35-cron. This, combined with my silver 50-lux and silver 24-Elmarit, makes me feel like’ a lucky man! Now if I could just match my photography skills with the quality of my gear. Regards,
brill64 Posted May 25, 2008 Share #46 Posted May 25, 2008 Whatever that is, I want it. BTW, Nothing comes close to Leica + Luigi case. Again, what lens is that and where can I get it; too cool Stefan Stefan, it's a tiny Leitz elmar 35 f3.5 screw mount lens on a detachable m-bayonet adaptor. It's about 1930-50's, pretty worn, uncoated with no ir filter attachments or hood. I like the feel of the images, they are a little soft and glowy. This may of course be because I have not had it cleaned. Without a case, the camera slips inside a pocket easily. Luigi is right, it is one of the least expensive Leitz lenses around and I picked mine up at Tin Cheung here in Hong Kong in a reasonable condition after some sifting for about USD320 + the second hand leica screw to m-bayonet adaptor was another USD64. I like it very much and use it on the M8 & MP John
