Falstaff Posted July 28, 2008 Share #81 Posted July 28, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bet he'd knock-up lunch for us more quickly than the cafe did though. And he'd have plenty of cold beers to hand. (The Reala was fine, btw, so thanks very much! - it must have been the processor...) Well, when you put it that way..... Falstaff ps glad film question solved.

wizard Posted August 4, 2008 Share #83 Posted August 4, 2008 Hello mates, having arrived safely back home after roughly 2500 km of driving on the wrong side (at least for me ) of the road, this is to thank you all for the warm reception you gave me in Morecambe the other day, with special thanks to Mike for one of the best cappuccinos I ever had. Don't know about the Midland's rooms, but their cappuccino certainly rivals Italy' best. I take it the rest of you enjoyed a good meal and the time at Morecambe, which is how it should be. It was good to meet some English forum members for the first time, and remeet others. I am glad I didn't miss this opportunity. Oh and btw, my wife still smiled at me when I returned to her. Cheers, Andy
stunsworth Posted August 4, 2008 Share #84 Posted August 4, 2008 Andy, good to hear that you got back ok. If you look at the photo forum you'll find some photographs from the day. Did you manage to get to Whitby?
wizard Posted August 4, 2008 Share #85 Posted August 4, 2008 Steve (why I called you Mike above is beyond me, sorry for that), yes, we crossed the North York Moors on a sunny day with perfect view and came right into Whitby, after visiting Goathland on the way. Stayed near Whitby for two days, in Lythe (anyone who comes to this area, I can wholeheartedly recommend the 'The Hart Inn' in Sandsend for fantastic and very affodable food) and explored the area. Whitby is very nice ideed, though quite crowded at this time of the year. I liked Runswick (a little north of Whitby, just before Staithes) a lot, much smaller than both Whitby and Staithes, but has a lovely athmosphere. Later on our trip we also went to Scarborough, which I found to be quite different from Whitby, but also very worth visiting. Best, Andy
