The first one I have had with absolutely no cleaning marks, no haze, no nothing. The barrel is beautiful too. That´s the good news. The little problem is that I can not remove the adapter and I want to use the lens on my LTM bodies. I have done this many times before with other lenses and it always works by mounting the lens on the (M) camera and then turning the lens in the right direction. But not this time. Any tips/ideas? As mentioned in the previous thread Leica would use some thread lock on lenses destined for a M. I think they were just clearing old stock this way. Robsteve, the back cap trick does not work either. I think there is glue in here... Your clearing stock theory seems to fit very well: It is a 1957 lens that came with a 1961 M3 (very clean too but not minty like the lens). Erik van Straten Posted May 12, 2008 Share #12 Posted May 12, 2008 When it's glued, you're in big trouble. Lens and adapter can ofcourse be separated, but not without damage. In any case, bring it to a professional repairer. A professional reparer may have suitable instruments for the job. Maybe it's better to leave it as it is and use it only as a M-mount lens.
